How it works

Join
Anyone who wants to come along joins. If the group is full, they go on the waiting list and move up when someone cancels.

Meet up
You write in the group chat, sort out the last questions and meet. What comes of it is up to you - not to the app.
HelloMates is not a dating app.
It is about the activity, not about finding a partner. Using the service for that breaks the terms of use - and reporting takes two steps.
Staying safe
We do not verify identities, and we do not claim to anywhere. A confirmed email address says nothing about who a person really is. So:
- Meet in public places.
- Tell someone where you are going and with whom.
- Travel there and back on your own.
- Stop if something feels wrong - you owe nobody an explanation.
- Reporting and blocking work on every profile, every activity and every message, at any time and without giving a reason.
Your data
Nobody sees your exact position. Others only learn roughly how far away an activity is.
- Location access only with your consent, and never continuous tracking.
- Your date of birth stays with us; what others see is an age range.
- Your home address is never published.
- What is stored and for how long is set out in the privacy policy (German).
- You can delete your account yourself at any time - in the app or on this page.
The app is not available for download yet
HelloMates is in development and is on neither the App Store nor Google Play. The links will be here as soon as it is.
The legal texts are in German
Imprint, terms of use and privacy policy exist in German only, and the German wording is the binding one. Translating them would create a second version that promises something slightly different - and that version would be the one nobody had checked. The page for deleting your account is available in English.
